Apnea posted this image on her blog with the caption, "Thank you for making pretty pictures of people that look similar to me <3 ". A quick visit to Deviant Art revealed the source of the image (and several more by the same "artist" copying Apnea's look and tattoo with nary a credit in site). Maybe it's guilt, but I feel it's time for me to fess up.Sorry, Apnea, but we just can't help it. You're just INSPIRATIONAL!! Besides, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, or something like that.
Well, that WOULD be the case, except this hamster is my own creation and has nothing at all to do with Apnea. Any resemblance is just a coincidence. ;)

Q: Why should I pay twice as much for the Zivity Bootcamp as these other
workshops I see happening?
A: Most other workshops around fall into two categories; the group shoots
and the limited ³art nude² workshops. At the group shoots you have a bunch
of photographers and a bunch of models eager for portfolio shots. With
little direction and almost no chance to work with the models one-on-one you
will never get the shot you are looking for. At the art nude shoots you get
direction but in a very limited scope. Art nude workshops tend to center
around beautiful, but a very basic style of photography.
At the Zivity Bootcamp you will get a wide range of instruction and a chance
to work one on one with every model and you will get a chance to pick the
brains of all the instructors.
Q: San Francisco is too far for me to travel, when are you going to hold a
workshop in my area?

Q: What level of experience do I need to attend this class?
A: All we ask is that you own your own DSLR camera, and know how to work it
in manual mode. If you know what the difference is between ISO, Aperture,
and Shutter speed you should do fine. This class is geared towards
photographers that can use their cameras and want to get better shots.
There won¹t be long discussions about lighting math or things like that. We
will teach you how to get the shots using the tools on your camera. If we
teach you how to ³see² the shots you want and get them, that is a lot more
valuable than any equation on paper.

I've been in San Francisco for a few days now and there's been a crazy heat wave the whole time. How disappointing! I look forward to cool temps up here in the bay, not nutty 100+ days. Ouch!
Today, I stopped by the Zivity offices to discuss the upcoming bootcamp and meet the team. Can you believe that you only get 5 minutes per quarter at the meters on the street outside?

I mean, really... What's with chains? I've been doing some work on another website and going through the photos I see set after set of girls with chains for no good reason. Is it supposed to be "fetishy"? I guess it implies bondage, but come on! A hot girl in latex on a bed with big link chain laid over her makes no sense. My first thought is, "Chains?" My second thought is, "OMG, that metal is going to stain her latex!!"
Then there are the photos where the chains are loosely wrapped around some chick's wrists. Why? She clearly isn't bound. One quick shake and the whole setup falls apart. I don't get it. If you're going to chain her up, then go for it! But just having the chains in the photos seems silly and distracting.
I AM MAKING AN OFFICIAL PLEA! Fetish photographers - RESIST THE CHAINS! (And black plastic "backdrops" for that matter... LOL)

Though it means that I haven't been shooting or editing as much lately, I've really been enjoying the time I've spent doing site design. It had been a while since I spent so much time on it, but it's a nice change of pace.
I mentioned Darenzia's redesign a couple months ago, and I recently finished a revamp for Apnea's site. I have a few more in the works but I won't mention them til they're live. =)

Sure, some may say it looks more "porny" now, but I really wanted to give those people who are visiting the site for the first time a good idea of what they are in for. Apnea's so amazing, and I think (hope!) that the new design gets that message across. =)

Which reminds me that I was listening to news radio in my car a couple weeks ago and it was the traffic segment. The traffic dude was talking about some spectator slowing on one of the freeways and he actually said, "Move along. These aren't the droids you're looking for.". I nearly crashed. LOL

Originally, Anna Rose was going to stay the night tonight, but she ended up having to skip town earlier than expected. That made the five hours we got to spend together all the more valuable. Back when she was planning her trip, we talked about all of the amazing latex she was going to bring along and I got real excited. Since so much of it is heavy rubber, the kind that plays well with others, I suggested that we invite Anastasia Pierce along too.
Our location fell through, but the bears came to the rescue, letting me shoot at their place again. Thanks Hunter and Charlie!
Seriously, I want to hijack Anna's suitcase and hold all of her rubber hostage. I need more money and a MUCH bigger latex wardrobe. =)

So, this morning, my soon-to-be-employed friend, Evan, sent me a link to a funny graphic. He is particularly skilled at doing that. For example, he sent this one a few weeks ago.

Anyways, back to today. I'm working, minding my own business, when his little IM window pops up with a link to the following image.
