I've had a Deviant Art account for a couple years now. I've enjoyed being part of the site, posting my images and receiving critiques, meeting new people, enjoying other people's artwork. I had received a lot of requests to make some of my prints available so I finally set up a print account on DA last week. Having no idea about the quality of their prints I decided to go on a little shopping spree and ordered 13 of them, for... um... REASEARCH. Yeah, that's it. LOL Actually, 11 were for me and 2 are going to be gifts.
I received my package in the mail today and I have to say that the print quality was pretty impressive. Apparently, they print using a variety of machines meant to reproduce the artwork with characteristics similar to traditional photographic prints. All but two of the pieces I ordered were printed as photos. I purchased them each at the smallest available size for my own use, and the one that will be a gift was a larger format. All nicely done. The remaining two were only available as postcards and I think I prefer those, actually. The paper stock is nice and thick and the images really pop.

Apnea and Philip have been visiting me since last Wednesday. It's so great to have them around. Philip is so great to geek out with, photographically speaking, and I got to shoot with Apnea again. We have actually had three shoots since she's been here! Weeee! One solo, one with Miss Conduct, and one with Stoya. I'm feeling lucky. LOL They keep pretty busy when they're in town, so I was extra happy that Apnea and I had some good quality time today. Last time they were here, we were hanging out at my house late one night and I made some frozen pupusas as a snack. She's been obsessed with them ever since. I guess they're a rarity in Texas. I gave her a special treat today by taking her to a genuine Pupuseria for lunch. Delicious, I gotta tell ya. Then I took her and Miss Conduct downtown to the Santee Alley for some shopping before heading over to Hollywood Blvd. to buy some cheap eyelashes. $1 per pair! (It pays to know drag queens.) I'm so thrilled! My first (solo) book entitled "Pervy Girls" is being published by Goliath Publishing out of Germany. It includes photos of so many beautiful models like Darenzia, Masuimi Max, Emily Marilyn, Apnea, Miss Conduct, Tall Goddess (she's my stunning cover model), etc. etc. etc.I've been working on it with them for some time, and I received my first copy of it in the mail the other day. It's gorgeous! The paper is nice and thick, the cover is kinda squishy, and most importantly, the print quality is stellar. It's due to be released in Europe early October 2006, and in the States in February 2007. I'll post links when the book is added to Amazon. Goliath has been wonderful and I'm so pleased to have worked on this with them. You may have already seen some of their other great fetish and photography books by my fabulously talented friends, Dave Naz and Octavio Arizala.

yeah, well... it wasn't all slapstick and guffaws. we were shooting stuff for our websites and hosiery for pinupgirlclothing.com. miss conduct is a superstar. (the latex is by vex clothing, corsets by exquisiterestraint.com btw.) these are just samples for pin up girl, so no nudies... but i wanted to redeem us for my previous post. LOL

ok, so people think being an erotic photographer is totally glamorous, that it's unbelievably sexy and all that. well, if you want to be jealous of anything, it's the laughter you're really missing. case in point: tonight, i'm shooting with my awesome friend, miss conduct. and, the highlight of my evening is this shot. she said that when she goes to a store like, say, best buy or something and the sales people ignore her, she walks around like this. i love her something awful! LOL

As you can see, I got a copy of the book jacket for Nexus' "Whipping Triangle" in the mail. They chose to use the photo of Sutan. The minute it arrived, I drove right over to drop it off at his place. I hadn't told him about it so the cover was a complete surprise. Needless to say, he was completely tickled!
